A woman is suing a Nebraska lawyer after the man allegedly raped her after she refused to have sex with him.
According to court documents, Mary Ann White alleged in an affidavit that after meeting with a Nebraska attorney, attorney Brian White allegedly told her that he had a sexual relationship with her and she had to have the relationship with him “just to be safe.”
White filed a sexual misconduct complaint against the lawyer, Brian White, on Tuesday, according to The Omaha World-Herald.
White was allegedly attacked by the lawyer in November 2016 after she went to a motel room with her boyfriend.
White said the two met in the lobby and White said she felt violated by the encounter.
She said that White’s boyfriend had invited her to have drinks after she was raped.
After the drink, White said that she felt “terrified and violated,” according to the complaint.
She also said that the lawyer then put his hand on her breast, causing her to lose her balance and fall on top of the lawyer’s face.
The complaint claims that the incident occurred on November 20, 2016.
White said she met with a local lawyer about two weeks later, according and said that after her attorney went to the hotel room, White left.
The lawyer allegedly drove White to another motel room, where he allegedly raped and assaulted her, according the complaint filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court.
The attorney reportedly told White that she had “no choice” in the matter, according, and that she was not going to take any of the sexual abuse, according a statement released by the attorney.
The case is being investigated by the Nebraska Attorney General’s office and the Nebraska Bureau of Criminal Investigation, according.
